What is an iquilt Online Class?

It’s an opportunity. Have you ever wished you could learn quilting skills from experts and award-winning quilters? iquilt classes are taught by the best in the quilting industry. They bring their designs, projects, tips, and inspirations to you—every day, always at your convenience. Each class is divided into lesson segments, you will be able to increase your quilting skills, learn traditional or innovative techniques, or see a project come to life as you fuel your passion for quilting. Watch iquilt online classes on your computer, tablet, or smart phone. Watch them, pause them, stop them, start them, and thoroughly enjoy them—always at your convenience, will never expire, and yours to keep.

Many, but not all, classes come with downloadable materials. It could be a pattern, project instructions, or an image. All downloadable materials are included in the cost of the class. Also, each class comes with a FAQs page. These are bits of information you may need to know about the class that will enhance your overall class experience.

Most classes come with instructor interaction. Pay close attention prior to purchasing the class as to whether it comes with or without student interaction. Only individuals who have purchased the class will have the ability to ask questions of the instructor. If you have a question for the instructor, look for the appropriate button within the class itself. Write and send your message and an instructor will reply within two to three business days.

No. However, if we see a trend in questions being asked, we will add them to the class FAQs which are available to everyone who purchases the class.

The classes are not closed-captioned at this time.

Purchasing a Class

Sure. Each of our classes has a free, short instructional video that will let you know what you will learn in the class.

It’s easy! First, log in using your email address and password or create an account (For AQS membership benifits you must login using the same email address as your membership. If you do not know it, you may call 800-626-5420 or email AQS). Find the classes you like, click on the shopping cart icon at the top right of the screen, and a purchase screen will appear to help you complete your transaction.

All iquilt classes are intended for individual use, however we are happy to offer discounted rates for group use. Please call for more information, (270) 898-7903.

Regardless of your system, as you go up in video quality, the more processing power is needed.
For desktop computers:
Your browser should be Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer 9+, or Safari.
For mobile devices: Apple iOS
Use Safari on iPhone 4s through current models only, with iOS8+.
Use Safari on iPad 2 through current models only, with iOS8+.
A first gen iPad can only go up to iOS5, iquilt works best with 1OS8 or greater so gen 1 iPads may have issues.
For mobile devices: Android
Use Chrome on Android 4.0 and later Android devices.
There are limitations to video playback on mobile devices compared to desktop browsers.
• Auto-starting a video on page load is not possible on mobile.
• Playing multiple videos at the same time is not possible on mobile.
• The iquilt player will not work with Flash for Android.
• Changing the mute state and volume is not possible on mobile.
• On iPhone only, video is only played in full screen mode. On iPad and Android, video can be played either windowed or in full screen.

I Purchased a Class! What Now?

Log in using your email address and password. Click on your profile image at the top of the page and scroll down to see any classes that you have purchased. Click on the class name and the class will appear on your screen.

Absolutely! If you have a high-speed Internet connection, you can watch your class from any computer or mobile device. This includes your desktop, laptop, tablet, and smart phone.

It does. You will need high-speed Internet via a cable modem or DSL. Using dial-up connections will not be satisfactory.

Depending upon the exact configuration of your computer or device, you will need a bare minimum of 1.5 Mbps download speed. If you attempt to play your class with a slow internet connection, you will experience buffering.

Make certain that you have a high-speed internet connection. This is essential for your class to play. You can test your internet speed at http://speedtest.net.

Try closing other tabs that you have open so they do not slow down your videos. Also, use an up-to-date browser.

Try using a different browser. One browser might work better than another, depending upon the browser configuration, extensions, etc.

Try lowering the quality of the video. While your video is playing, hover the

mouse over the progress bar, then over the HD icon, and select 480p.

No, iquilt is a streaming video platform. You can watch them as many times as you like, wherever you like, but you cannot copy them to your computer.

As you watch your class, there is also a link on the bottom left of the video player to access any downloadable materials.
