  1. What kind of stitches will I learn?
There are eight basic stitches taught in the class. You will learn useful filler stitches like pebbles. You’ll make teardrops, beautiful swirls, rainbows, and strings of pearls. Stitch hearts, waves of feathers, and seaweed. Many of these include fun variations, giving your quilting stitches an artful grace that enhances any quilting project. Plus, if you follow along with the class, you will complete a striking stocking sampler that is perfect for gift giving! Whether you make the stocking sampler or apply these quilting stitches to another quilting project, please post pictures so we can enjoy your progress.
  2. Will this class give me ideas for quilting my own quilts?
Absolutely. Once you have added these stitches to your quilting wheelhouse, they can be used as fillers and background stitches for all of your quilting pieces. Knowing how to execute these motifs will give you the confidence to jump in and try them on your quilts, adding interest and variety.
  3. If I have never machine quilted before, is this a good class for me?
If you are a beginner when it comes to machine quilting, consider taking Successful Machine Quilting: Basic and Beyond, also taught by Cindy. It provides valuable information to those just beginning to learn how to machine quilt. Then, you will be ready to continue honing your quilting skills with the Machine Quilted Stocking Sampler class.
  4. What if I have questions?
We recommend that you watch the class in its entirety and become familiar with any downloadable materials. At that point, if something is unclear, go to the tab that allows you to ask a question and Cindy will get back with you.
  5. When can I start the class?
We know you are excited to get started. After you have purchased the class, you can enjoy it anywhere and anytime you have Internet. The class belongs to you, so watch it as many times as you like!

Great course. Love the stocking idea. Just a lot of small areas to tackle with new free motion stitches. This course really freed me up for free motion. I now believe I can do it! Thanks, Cindy. Great job.

Cindy's step by step instructions were great. I especially liked how she showed us how to draw the stitches before actually stitching them. That helped me set the stitch in my mind and made it easier to reproduce on the fabric. The different fillers adds to my bag of filler styles. I also really appreciated her demonstration of binding for curved seams. I have had trouble with that in the pas

t and her technique really helped reduce the bulk. Thanks Cindy for the informative and clear demo.

A must for machine quilters. This gives you all the skills to successfully fill in backgrounds and is extremely easy to follow step by step. Cindy takes all the stress out of doing beautiful and creative background stitching with a minimum of marking. The little tips she gives throughout the class make it approachable for even the most beginning quilters. I have relied heavily on stencils for f

illing in spaces, but now I feel that I can have a much more creative approach. Thank you, Cindy for a wonderful and informative class.

Excellent class for someone who wants to begin learning or trying fun filler stitches and end up with a finished project.
Cindy breaks down the steps for creating the pebbles, tear drops/paisley, swirls, rainbows, string of pearls, hearts, seaweed and waves of feathers in basic steps, which made it easy to follow along.
There are a few tips in the video that were not new to me, but would be very

helpful to someone trying a project with machine quilting for the first time.
Super class for expanding the skills of someone who has a working knowledge of their machine and wants to add pizzaz or learn more about quilting with their home machine.
